In addition to reports of original research, the journal also publishes general and speculative reviews, topical debates, methodological developments, theoretical articles and occasional special issues. The editors are committed to maintaining a high quality of all published reports and to a rapid and fair review process. Manuscripts will be subject to a process of anonymous review (the names of authors and their affiliations will be disclosed to the referees only when the review process is complete).
